Windsor Castle Bike Tour
Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world, and the Queen of England’s favourite.
Located on a scenic cliff-top location above the river Thames, it makes the perfect destination for our gentle bike tour.
After meeting at London Paddington station, we take a short train ride to the scenic Thames Valley where we jump on board our comfy bikes to begin our tour.
The bike tour is a flat and largely traffic-free 8 miles (13km) through country lanes and designated bike tracks. There is plenty of time to stop and take photos on the tour.
We drop the bikes off in Windsor, grab some lunch and enjoy a short walking tour of the town. The afternoon is spent at the castle at your leisure and you return to London by train. A truly historic day out guaranteed!
Tour Highlights
Traffic Free Bike Ride...
Embrace the wind in your hair as we tour along the river bank. Lap up the freedom as we pass the sights and take in riverside life. Ring the bell and wave to passers by and feel a million miles away from London…Flat, traffic free, relaxing and fun...you are guaranteed to enjoy arriving at the castle feeling like royalty!
Olympic rowing lake
We enjoy the big skies and scenic surroundings of the Eton rowing lake. A stunning arboretum and sculpture park make this an unexpected highlight on the tour.

We pause on the tour for morning tea at this Tudor mansion. Dating from 1440 it is a fine example of early Tudor architecture, and the tea cake are not bad either!

After our bike tour we enjoy a well earned traditional pub lunch, enjoying produce from the local Windsor farm & brewery.
Windsor Castle
Built in 1066, tour the Queen’s favourite castle, and explore the State Apartments, St.George’s chapel and see the largest doll’s house in the world.
